Ausable River Carvers specializes in hand-carved and hand-painted trout,
loons, ducks and trout flies. After each realistic carving is completed, it
is applied to a custom-designed sign for use in camps, vacation homes or
businesses.
The background of each sign is heavily aged and crackled to reveal multiple layers of color. The signs are then framed in 100 year-old reclaimed barn wood. The signs shown here are 2 x 4 ft. Other sizes, colors and options for the carving are available.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind, custom-made work of art. And because of the way they are designed and produced, they should last for generations.
The eyes used in the carving are anatomically correct for each species and are made of German crystal and 24K gold. They will never fade or haze over.
